La Femme, the Trailer...
Watch the Trailer The woman. The French countryside. The golden light of late summer. Dry grass and dusty fruit trees and the fuming exhale of afternoon heat. A classic countryside chateau, crisp laundry swaying from an open window. The woman. Chlorine and cigarette smoke. Droplets of pool water clinging to bare skin. She wears nothing but sunglasses, cat-eyed and champagne-hued. Desire like the last drag of a shared cigarette, like eye contact held a moment too long, like the steaming hiss of hot concrete. An Afternoon with Monica
Were you born and raised in BK? What’s your background? I was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and moved to the Bronx, in 2001, and have been living there since, though my art studio is in Brooklyn. Being a model and makeup artist means you've seen two different perspectives of the industry. Do you prefer one to the other? I have a love affair with both. Makeup is one of my...

But we always knew it was a creative project we wanted to pursue, and suddenly we had a brand that gave us the means to pull it off. So in September, the whole VC team travelled to Europe, both to...
